irem treinando. ;) Nunca leu no idioma?
participar.
Lembrando
que o livro sorteado será o Livro do Mês aqui no blog. Então mesmo que você não
seja sorteado, poderá acompanhar nossos posts sobre o livro escolhido.
Little Women, por Louisa May Alcott
Little Women is one of the best loved books of all time. Lovely Meg, talented Jo, frail Beth, spoiled Amy: these are hard lessons of poverty and of growing up in New England during the Civil War. Through their dreams, plays, pranks, letters, illnesses, and courtships, women of all ages have become a part of this remarkable family and have felt the deep sadness when Meg leaves the circle of sisters to be married at the end of Part I. Part II, chronicles Meg's joys and mishaps as a young wife and mother, Jo's struggle to become a writer, Beth's tragedy, and Amy's artistic pursuits and unexpected romance.
Hans Christian Andersen was the profoundly imaginative writer and storyteller who revolutionized literature for children. He gave us the now standard versions of some traditional fairy tales—with an anarchic twist—but many of his most famous tales sprang directly from his imagination. The thirty stories here range from exuberant early works such as "The Tinderbox" and "The Emperor's New Clothes" through poignant masterpieces such as "The Little Mermaid" and "The Ugly Duckling," to more subversive later tales such as "The Ice maiden" and "The Wood Nymph."
The Vacationers, por Emma Straub

The Vacationers, por Emma Straub
For the Posts, a two-week trip to the Balearic island of Mallorca with
their extended family and friends is a celebration: Franny and Jim are
observing their thirty-fifth wedding anniversary, and their daughter,
Sylvia, has graduated from high school. The sunlit island, its mountains
and beaches, its tapas and tennis courts, also promise an escape from
the tensions simmering at home in Manhattan. But all does not go
according to plan: over the course of the vacation, secrets come to
light, old and new humiliations are experienced, childhood rivalries
resurface, and ancient wounds are exacerbated. Este livro se passa nas férias! (vocês já estão de férias? Porque eu SIIIIIIIM!!!)
One Plus One, por Jojo Moyes
Suppose your life sucks. A lot. Your husband has done a vanishing act, your teenage stepson is being bullied, and your math whiz daughter has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you can’t afford to pay for. That’s Jess’s life in a nutshell—until an unexpected knight in shining armor offers to rescue them. Only Jess’s knight turns out to be Geeky Ed, the obnoxious tech millionaire whose vacation home she happens to clean. But Ed has big problems of his own, and driving the dysfunctional family to the Math Olympiad feels like his first unselfish act in ages . . . maybe ever.
